XTRONS today announces the IP Series, a new line of vehicle-specific Android 16 head units built for retrofit workshops, car audio installers and wholesale distributors. Positioned as “The New Benchmark for Acoustic Intelligence”, the range pairs a Hi-Res audio chain built on the AKM7738 3-core DSP with a QLED touch display, 4G LTE and CANbus integration, giving an OEM-style fit across popular BMW, Mercedes-Benz, VW Group, Audi and Jeep models.
Models with DAB in the product code have built-in DAB+ digital radio, and all 7" models have a built-in CD/DVD drive.

Frequently asked questions
Does the IP Series keep factory CANbus functions?
Yes. CANbus decoding retains features such as steering wheel controls and, depending on the vehicle, door status, parking sensor display and vehicle information.
Do all IP models have DAB+ and a CD/DVD drive?
No — it varies by model. DAB+ is built in on IP86A3ADABL and IP96MTVDABL, and a CD/DVD drive is built into all 7" models (IP7639B, IP7646B, IP7653B, IP76M211G, IP76M245G, IP76MTVG). The 8" and 9" models do not have a disc drive. Please ask your account manager for details.
Will the 4G LTE module work in my market?
The module supports the main LTE bands used in Europe, Asia and Australia. Coverage in North America varies by carrier, so please check band compatibility with your local network before ordering.
Can I combine IP Series and universal units in one order?
Yes. Distributors can place mixed orders across both lines to benefit from combined-order discounts and volume pricing. Contact the wholesale team for current terms.
